I remember he didn't even get much pushback when he was firing employers trying to organise a union. Then there was the Thai cave divers fiasco. My impression is that most people didn't care much either way about him until he bought Twitter and started moving way to the right. He's destroyed Twitter, it's so much worse to be on now. Full of porn, racism and engagement farming. In a way, though, I'm glad it's destroyed and people have gone to Threads, Mastodon, Bluesky etc. I always felt Twitter had too high a concentration of journalists, politicians and corporate interests in one place. I'm not sorry to see its influence declining. I look forward to it going out of business completely.
