Silver? Bronze maybe

I have made a pesto pasta from basil in the garden. And a zucchini slice and zucchini soup from the last of the giant zucchini’s also from the garden haha!

am thinking maybe a massamun beef curry tonight if I get time to put it on. I am a bit out of ideas and we did spaghetti bol last week

and greens are so pricey at the moment. $10kilomfor green beans

The serious discussion of the weekly menu has been had and we having in no particular order:

veggie hamburgers w rocket salad, quiche (made w leftover veggies in the crisper) w another salad, pesto gnocchi, tortellini w IDK sauce and Mexican beans on a jacket potato w all the trimmings (the mex beans are from the freezer)

From recipe books:

Plant You: creamy mushroom pasta page 139 (almond milk is the cream ingredient)

Recipetin Eats: sesame ginger garlic stir-fried vegetables w rice noodles page 108

@Kallie your writing is so neat. Mine is abysmal 😅

Check out how methodical the whole month is written.  It’s so satisfying to see  a thought out menu plan.

@Kallie what does L/O mean?

Honorable mention to the inclusion of both Shepherds Pie and Cottage Pie 👏

This week:

M: curry (lamb mince with peas)

T: sushi (bought)

W: leftover curry

T: schnitzel with fennel and apple slaw

F: I’m going out for dinner, and DH is missing sushi on Tuesday so he and DD can have sushi that night. DD will be happy with that!

Haha I have to make the menu plan legible so DH can do his night (Tuesday) 😆

And yes, L/O = leftovers. I try to do a bulk cook on the Wednesday (my day off) then use the extra the next week on one of my work days (usually Friday).

First term this year has been really full on so a lot of these are a lot simpler than I'd usually like, but the kids haven't complained. Some things have been missed. I'll add them to next month.

DH made an awesome lamb curry tonight. A Nagi recipe.

im so disorganised this week. We have lots of mince. So maybe Mexican on Monday. And Tuesday as well because DH is away and the kids like it.

@Kalliehas inspired me to do a roast. So maybe that can be for Wednesday. I’ll buy a chicken or maybe a bunch of chicken thighs, and do roast veg.

and later in the week, I want to use up some smoked salmon. Maybe pasta? Salmon mornay? I dunno.

Growing up, we had food left for Ron (that's Later On, ha ha, such Dad humour).

I roasted a leg of lamb last night and we had it in salad wraps with garlic mayo, nom nom. Having that again tonight. I marinated the lamb in red wine and garlic and then covered it in olive oil and salt before slow roasting, it turned out really nice.

DH has requested chicken pesto pasta from the freezer, so we're having that tomorrow night.

I'm going to be busy on Sunday, so on Saturday I'm slow cooking braised steak and onions and we'll have that again on Sunday.

Monday will be busy, so we'll probably have lasagne from the freezer.

From Tuesday I'm on holidays for 10 days! DH bought a duck kit and we have a cucumber to use up, so DH can do peking duck pancakes if he feels like cooking.

The rest of the week, I have no idea. We have chicken curry, lasagne, beef enchilada filling, chicken pesto pasta, chicken kiev, steak, roast lamb, roast beef, braised steak and chicken schnitzel in the freezer, so I don't plan on doing any cooking except vegetable/salad side dishes for the next couple of weeks, woohoo! Oh wait, I have some eggs to use up, will have to cook those in something, I might make an impossible quiche for lunch over the weekend.

Ended up doing roast chook last night as I picked up a marinated stuffed chook for $2.50 🙈 Winner with the kids and leftovers for DH's lunch so success all round.

Where did you get the marinated stuffed chook from?? Woolies (mine anyway) don't seem to sell them anymore.

I did taco bowls tonight, huge hit with the family. DD had seconds !

No idea.  There is plenty of basil in the garden.  I might do Jamie's baked chicken and vegetables if I don't get any other inspiration.
