littlebirdy
DD15 wants to do a school based apprenticeship from next year in Floristry. We are based in Vic. The plan is that she will do VCE Vocational Major over 3 days at school, one day at TAFE, and one day with the Florist employer. Just wondering if anyone has any advice on the process to get this organised? I am not finding the school very helpful! DD has found an employer that she did work experience with earlier this year. The employer said the school should be organising things; the school say the employer does - and the TAFE say that the employer needs an Apprentice service provider who organises things! I'm a bit lost!! Also, does the employer pay for the TAFE fees, or is that on us?
CrankyM
Does this help: https://www2.education.vic.gov.au/pal/school-based-apprenticeships-and-traineeships/policy It states the training agreement needs to be between your DD and the employer, then approved by the apprenticeship network, the confirmed/agreed to by the school. There is a whole guidebook on the site under Guidance. 1
